Uh… This is a great question. Is the DNA testing used by Helix the same as the one seen on Dateline and CSI? This is a great question, and I’m a huge fan of CSI. I want it all the time. Um. And the difference between Helix and what happens on TV is that, in the shows, they’re really looking to try to identify someone, so the techniques they use are very good at identifying a person, but at Helix what we’re doing is we’re capturing the entire exome, which allows you to learn so much more than just, “can we identify you?” It can tell you things about disease risk, and nutrition, and fitness, and all sorts of things because we’re capturing all that information.
