Spirit Science 8 ~ Meditation

I think therefore I am not Only when the mind is silent, I am. After DIMENSIONS, things got a little hectic There were literally 5 different topics that opened up fopr me to talk about, and I did not know which one to cover. Fortunately, I had this one saved in the backburner, so while I figure out which order to do these next ones in, we can talk about meditation. Spirit Science Lesson 8 – Meditation There’s quite a bit going on with meditation than most people realize. The average person will tell you that meditation is simply a tool to calm you down, when in fact that’s probably the least important thing it is good for. We’ll talk more about that soon, but first I want to tell you a story about Robert Monroe. Now, if you were to read his biography in Wikipedia, you’ll learn that Robert Monroe was a radio broadcasting executive That was researching the effects of sound patterns in the brain, and sleep learning. Then he started exploring out of body states of consciousness and formed his own company, the Monroe Institute. And … that’s about all you’ll learn, unfortunately, that’s not really what he did, he learned so much more than anyone today would accept. In fact, he found out more about the nature of the universe, than any modern scientist could tell you. The stuff that he has written about seen and doing out of body is incredible, he’s completely mapped a whole other world. You might think of him as the Marco Polo of the next world, we have explored the land and oceans, And now we are exploring the heavens, or the dimensions of consciousness. In his book “Ultimate Journey”, Robert Monroe goes to great lengths to map out the human mind, as observed from a more conscious understanding. This is what he says – as human minds, we are what we think, we are also what others think. most of this has little to do with our physical bodies when we go below the surface. To deal with this more closely, let us create a model of the human mind as it is and operates in practice … a pragmatic model if you like. Imagine a structure in layers like an onion, and let us work from the in to out. at the very core is the core self, this is the original human mind, the sum of our experiences without limitation. The inner core is composed of what we have lived and consciously thought to date, the emotions and dreams we have experienced, wether we remember them or not. The pains and pleasures, the daydreams, whishes and hopes, this is our essence, our spirit. It’s what we really are. Above that is the animal sub self, this this layer that is more difficult to control, this is where filtering, discoloration and contamination takes place, The problem is that we think we need to rely on it or else we can’t remain physically human. Physiologically, it is the cluster consisting of the mammalian brain and the limbic system. Above that is the conscious mind, this layer can be identified as what you think you are. However, it is entirely different from KNOWING what you are. The reason for this is that only a part of the inner core is available to the conscious you Hence there is much distortion, as expression has to pass through the animal sub self. The conscious mind may be fully 100% accurate, but in some areas may give an opposite interpretation from that of your core self. though much of this layer is deliberately hidden from others, a considerable part is expressed in your outer self. Because it is so strong, we have no choice in this, this layer is also complicated by belief systems. For many of us the complexity becomes a maze, it’s no surprise that some of us do not find a clear way out. The next outward layer is the human mind external, this is what we think others think of us, This is a grand mixture because part of it is intuitive nonverbal communication Which gets confused with what our sensory and analytical perception tells us. This layer is constantly changing with new experience and new perception, and is also controlled heavily by the cultural context, We develop these artificial and synthetic drives and motivations, which most often leads to mental and physical dysfunction. Instead of being yourself, you begin to live a totally reactive existence, which is what many people do. If you allow this lifestyle to take over, it can be a living hell. Moving outward, the next level is the human mind ROLE, this is like the skin, what you want others think of you. This is fairly simple, it is the presentation of the self, mostly it is set by the acceptability and needs of the world around you. Superimposed hopefully with waves and pulsing, thrusting from your inner core. The presentation of self is careful and usually covered with a sheen of deception. In hard cases, no signs of the inner layers ever even appear, even under great stress. And finally, the outermost layer, much larger than you would expect, is composed of other’s thoughts of you. Consider yourself as existing wherever and whenever another person or being thinks of you, even only occasionally. Living almost through memories, but by creating those memories, they are connecting with you and they do exist all around you. It is because of this that most often other’s perceptions of you have little awareness of what is in your inner core self. The disguise and filtration are in the way, many people have a hard time connecting with their core self … their spirit. Most do not even know that it exists, though that is changing. So moving let’s answer the biggest question here: what is the point of meditation? Well everyone has a different answer to this question. Early research show that meditation was good for lowering blood pressure, lifting depression, reducing cholesterol, and making physical changes to the brain. These are all incredibly Western views about meditation. There are lots of different types of meditation, but in the traditional Buddhist sense All these different forms of meditation all have the same common end result, which is spiritual enlightenment. And through that comes the elimination of suffering, This elimination comes with the understanding of a unity consciousness which we talked about in Lesson 4. Realizing the oneness of all things See, the traditional intent of meditation is not to eliminate suffering by lowering blood cholesterol or stress, But to eliminate suffering by shifting perspective. Meditation teaches you to turn your attention away from the mundane physical and personal experiences of the world Where the problems seem significant. And turn to experience life through a broader more interconnected perspective, being one with everything. The process transcends and changes our sense of self, So that our problems seem less meaningful, and less troubling The point is not to reduce the physical cause of discomfort through improved health, but to change the importance we place on that discomfort. Maybe it is time to revisit that quote from the beggining. I think therefore I am not, only when the mind is silent, I am. When the mind is silent, you can connect fully with the core self, the spirit, Going beyond the conscious mind and animal subself, and being in the I AM. We haven’t really talked about things for you to do since Lesson 3 where we went over the steps to animal communication. So now I teach a very basic meditation that you yourself can do. Start by wearing some comfortable clothing, and either sit or lie down and become relaxed, first focus on each part of your body individually. First your feet, then your legs, then your thighs, hands, for about 10 to 20 seconds each, and just focus on them becoming relaxed. Once you’ve done that all the way down to the top of your head, Begin to count silently in your head from 100 down to 0, take your time, it is not a race. If any straight thoughts comes into your brain, simply ignore them and keep counting, try not to get distracted. Once you haver reached 0, restart the count from 30 down to 0 again. After you have done this a second time, sit on the aura of silence that you just created for yourself. By this time your mind should be at peace, and you may even have an experience, do not expect anything though, Just allow whatever happens… to happen. Be in the I AM, you will know when you are ready to finish the session. If you are going to take this seriously, I recommend that you practice on a daily basis, 10 minutes a night even, is all you need, unless you want to do it more. However, the amount and duration is totally up to you, If meditation is not what you’re looking for, do not feel obliged to start. Finally let’s talk about binaural beats, Binaural Beats were first developed by Robert Monroe at the Monroe Institute, In experiments to induce different states of consciousness and out of body experiences there are essentially Audio tracks that place a single tone in each ear, Slightly different from the other, which actually creates a third tone in your head. An ear goes “uuuuuuuuu” and the other tone goes “ooooooooo” and in your head you hear “UOUOUOUOUOUO” it’s pretty cool. What this does in fact is actually change your brain frequency, putting you in a different mental state. If you google it, you can find HEMI SYNC, which stands for hemisphere synchronization. This is the Monroe Institute’s brand of binaural beats Which is very professional, and they have both guided and free flow meditations that will help you get into different states. The other brand I want to talk about is iDoser, they’re a separate company, they do not focus on guided meditations. But they are more interested in the effects, iDoser has tons of different audio tracks, that you put in range of mental places. From LSD effects, to chakra boosting to astral projection, there is a reason they call it “digital drugs” I know what you’re thinking … does it work? … absolutely, does it work if you do not know how to meditate? … not so much. If a regular Joe decides to try it out, listening to these tones without any meditational background,it probably won’t work so well. You have to be good at getting into a deep meditational state before you start using these tones. If you are serious about trying this and experiencing these effects, it is almost crucial that you learn to meditate on your own first. Get really good at it. A final word of advice, if you are really serious about getting into meditation, join a class. When it comes to meditation, personal guidance from a trained and experienced instructor is paramount. it will accelerate your progress tenfold, and you will shoot up to a very high level in no time. And that’s all I have for today, happy meditating. In a study published in “Social Indicators Research,” researchers were able to predict. that the calming influence of a group meditation could reduce violent crime by over 20% over an 8 week period. In that time, rapes, assaults and murders DECREASED 23%. I hope you enjoyed this presentation, thanks for watching it! 8. Any thoughts on this mediation?

  9. This has rapidly became the greatest Channel on YouTube. It's brilliant and every aspect and the timing of it well we'll chalk that up to the universe. Thank you for all that you do and for such an amazing contributions. It being in cartoon form is a great way for me to get my daughter to start watching this channel as well.

  10. Appreciate the videos as always, is there anyway there could be a video over masculine focused meditation such as in the case of spartan, norse, or Chinese warriors?

  11. So I tried meditating for the first time and I went through the steps he said and after a while of the space between my eyebrows tingling(a little above actually but not much) my entire body got super heavy and started to tingle at every inch. I let that go on for a bit and stopped because my mind started to wander. Then tried again and this time my throat began to tingle for what felt like a solid 3 minutes. Is this normal or not?

  12. Welllllllllllllllllll a reactive lifestyle has its advantages. And it helps with an advanced mental state called mushin. It's one of my ultimate goals to achieve this for myself in life. All I know is that I need to meditate more than I've tried to lol

  13. Jordan I really love, love, love all of your videos, They are so informative, and fun to watch, easy to understand. I think you are a genius in the way you do these videos.

  14. I have a ?. So I've been able to play triads and binote chords and the to them changes in my external environment. Also when I slow my brain frequency, an interesting thing happens. I seem to come in before everyone else's thoughts have manifested. That is to say, they seem to think out loud, sometimes I can suggest what their character will be like for the day with no words. And the strangest is when they reflect my consciousness.
There us a sou d I hear once in a while, I do t know what it means. But I think it has something to do with forward and reverse writing. It's like a party to touch a sound. Like if you were to drop a small glass and it break. I would also like to add the first time I had a real breakthrough. I had managed to reverse the lobs of my brain and BEGAN teaching right hemisphere with left info and bias beta. When I uncrossed them. It came with violent mucus and what quite nasty, once I fully rid my head space. I noticed ideas were a lot easier to grasp, I was smart to begin with. Also I can state directly at the sun with no damage to my eyes. I can see history tied in light, I hear distant voices. And did I tell you about streets, names and sometimes stars being in different places or constellations that move through each other in large groups. It's far larger than any 1 person has imagined so far. I did, then was shown later . Drunvalo s book has helped me greatly. And I must say. I would like to learn to draw the 13 chakras in 3d space.

  15. hello!! i love your teachings. is spiritscience.tumblr.com official or is it run by a follower of this channel? i want to follow if it is you. thank you 🙂

  16. I have found that if you practice meditation sincerely, you don't need binaural beats to get you in the zone. After so much practice, I can now meditate anywhere at anytime, even with eyes open. The sound produced by the binaural beats naturally comes to me. In fact, all frequencies are around you, you just need to tune to them. This is the idea of meditation.
Binaural beats may help you to get that tuning, but it is not required.

  17. the Buddha actually meditated very much on the physical… he called it Vipassana… he didn't mention "oneness", at least not in my knowledge… that concept is a rather hindu/brahmin thing

  19. I believe meditation is a multitude function. It calms you, it increases brain folds, and but not limited to,it is the excess of which you build your internal temple that Jesus talked about. In the process of getting to the point where you build your inner temple, you slay your inner beasts and contradictions in your mind. Your pharaoh's, kings, and emperors

  23. Don’t know how I came across your channel..but it’s pretty awesome 👏 I started binge watching your videos, but I haven’t seen them all of course there are many. Just wondering if there is one on Kundalini, if not could you make a video on this subject?

  24. I've meditated for at least an hour a day for about nine months and it has become my favorite part of my day. I think it also helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system through out the day and I am finding out that it is important.

  25. I really loved your videos and i download them to watch-on-the-go anytime anywhere, but this video series starting from 8 and the next is not allowed to be downloaded. Just want to know if it is from your side or Youtube.

  26. IMPORTANT MESSAGE. I had a dream, premonition or future insight that expresses great flooding will occur, I saw the Seattle space needle almost completely underwater. Action must be taken to preserve life, please switch to a cook vegan meal plan then slowly switch to a raw vegan meal plan. An omnivore meal plan will have great pain and suffering upon you, please take action. Animals lives matter, that which exist without your awareness still exist. For humams to forsake the pain and suffering of animals is then to cause also great pain and suffering unto themselves. 💜

  27. Can you upload these as a podcast so I can listen on my way to work. I have an hour and a half drive of boring

  28. I find it funny how I’m here because I wanted to experiment being super high while listening to third eye activation and get in touch with my so called higher self I was just very opened minded when meditating and saw the so called Flower Of Life when being in a super relaxed high state of mediation huh.

  29. Meditation is cool. I find that I can easily switch my mind to spiritual matters as opposed to mundane matters quickly and easily. I can do it without meditation. That is cool that there is a model of the mind in this video. It links the New Age with psychology. The part of psychology I find the best at mapping out the mind is psychoanalysis. By studying that, I have developed my own system of four layers or levels. I wonder if they can be more detailed. Maybe an alternative way to map out the mind is showing the different parts of the brain, and what they do. Maybe the model listed in the video could be reconciled with a psychoanalytic model somehow. Here are the four layers.

    1. Conscious- This is the part of the mind one has full awareness. It has the persona. This is the part of personality one identifies with. They show it to the outside world.

    2. Sub-Conscious- This is the part of the mind where one has partial awareness. They don't have it on their mind at the moment. However they can easily access it by recalling memories. It has the ego. This is the part of the personality one invests their pride and intelligence. The ego helps make one strong, which helps them fit in a specialized role in society. However it can get in the way if one needs to change.

    3. Personal Unconscious- The unconscious is the part that one is unaware of. It is difficult to access and requires special methods. The main method is dreaming. The unconscious has two parts, personal and collective. The personal unconscious has the baggage specific to one person. There is a bunch of rejected stuff that is suppressed out of consciousness. This is the stuff of dreams and other unconscious musings. This level has the shadow. The shadow is a scary and repressed part of one's personality. It can be terrifying. Yet one needs to reconcile it, to change for the better.

    4. The Collective Unconscious- The collective unconscious is still difficult to access and be aware of. It is something that all humans can have in common. It is full of patterns for dreams and myths. These patterns are called archetypes. They are the things underlying the stuff of dreams. The collective unconscious has the anime. The anime is a part of the personality that is different but attractive. It is a guide to the deepest part of the mind. It aids enlightenment and change. There is another thing in the deepest part of the mind. It is the self. The self is a unified whole of persona, ego, shadow and anime. It is a perfect enlightened whole.

  30. No offense to you guys I don't have your videos but I'm getting forced to watch them so yeah I don't like them so much either btw I'm the picture of this guys son
